Burns

Burns are classified into three types: first-degree (superficial), second-degree (partial thickness), and third-degree (full thickness). They are caused by heat, radiation, chemicals, or electricity.

Symptoms

  • ​First-degree burns
    • Redness pain, and minor swelling in the affected area.
  • Second-degree burns
    • Red or splotchy skin, intense pain, blisters, and swelling.
  • Third-degree burns
    • White or charred skin, numbness due to nerve damage, and the affected area may appear leathery - Note we do not treat Third-degree burns
